Other Scanning options available:
Discounts for Web-Quality
(1000 dpi or less) scans (~$1.25 per frame)
Archive your memories, projects, events, and research.
We can work with your budget and your needs to find a proper solution.
FILE TYPES / SIZES:
Generally, we save all scanned images as TIFF
files as they are the best for printing and editing.
Many customers like to have Jpegs in addition, which we will provide at a small
cost.
Huge Fine Art Files (400 MB) to small, shareable files (100 Kb and smaller).
Slides and film are scanned to meet
your needs:
If you want to make large prints from your film, it should be scanned for that
purpose;
Large files can always be reduced for web-display, email, etc.
Small files cannot be increased for Printing!
EX: A 35mm slide scanned at 4000dpi makes a 65MB file;
You wouldn't want to send that via email or post it on the web, but
This file makes a print 10x15" at 360dpi--or a 12x18" print at 300dpi.
If your intended purpose is web use, PowerPoint
slides, and other "on screen" use only,
smaller scans (1000dpi) will be right for you.
Please email to discuss prices and options--we can meet/beat just about any price out there!
